"Paper should be edible, nutritious. Inks used for printing or writing should have delicious flavors. Magazines or newspapers read at breakfast should be eaten for lunch. Instead of throwing one's mail in the waste-basket, it should be saved for the dinner guests."

Programs, Magazines: Femme 2010 & $pread

Femme2010 was a conference by The Femme Collective. I designed and produced the cover and interior of the program, managed images and saw through printing. A PDF of the full program is here.

$pread Magazine was an award-winning [Utne Reader, The Village Voice, The Nation] glossy quarterly. As Art Director, I used InDesign to create the magazine's template, sourced images and developed a consistent look for the publication.

Flyers, Postcards, Handbills

Femme2010 Film Festival

Getting handed a postcard or seeing a hot flyer for an upcoming event is one of the best ways to ensure someone will show up - getting something that is cost-effective and will get read? That's what I like to do. [Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator]

Chapbooks, Books, Press & Media Kits

I love print, the feeling of a completed publication in my hands is thriling. Designing a publications' layout and fine-tuning typography using stylesheets is also one of my favorite ways to use healthy outlets for my need to control.

Financial Information

The Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics Department at Columbia University wanted oversized posters to highlight their faculty and new students, departmental signage, and posters for upcoming events. [Photoshop, Illustrator] Exile is a family owned vintage store in the heart of Toronto's Kensington Market. Their look has a red and yellow theme, and the red and black poster and tag were developed as possible signage for an upcoming retail project. [Photoshop] Professional Financial Services is a small full-service investment company in Rochester, NY. I worked with them in 1999-2001 to develop their client communications, including a newsletter, brochure and charts.
